We recommend bringing your instrumental files (WAV/MP3), lyrics, any vocal references, and a clear idea of your goals. If you’re unsure, we’ll guide you every step of the way.
✦ How much does it cost to record a song in Kansas City?
Rates vary depending on the complexity and needs of your project. Recording sessions at GFM start at $75/hr, with full production packages available as well. Contact us for a custom quote.

Some projects can be completed in a few hours while others may require multiple sessions. We'll help estimate the timeline based on your project.
✦ Can you help with production and arrangement?
Absolutely. We can help develop songs, refine arrangements, create custom instrumentals, and guide the creative process.

In most cases, yes. We simply ask that guests contribute positively to the creative environment.
Mixing, Mastering & Remote Services
✦ Can I send in my files to be mixed or mastered remotely?
Yes! Through our remote services we work with clients worldwide. Just upload your stems, and we’ll take care of the rest.
✦ What file types do you accept for mixing/mastering?
We accept WAV, AIFF, or consolidated Pro Tools/Logic Pro sessions. For best results, export stems at 24-bit, 44.1kHz unless you have recorded at a different bit depth and sample rate. If you're unsure how to export your tracks, we'll guide you through the process.

Absolutely! Many of our clients record from home and send us their sessions for professional mixing and mastering.
✦ How do revisions work?
We'll work closely with you to ensure the final product meets your expectations. Specific revision details will be discussed before the project begins.

✦ How should I prepare for my audiobook or spoken-word session?
Get a good night's sleep, stay hydrated, and avoid excessive dairy if possible. Many narrators also find that apples and warm tea with honey and lemon help keep their voice clear and comfortable. We'll guide you through the rest.

A Legacy Recording is a professionally recorded audio and video keepsake that preserves your stories, memories, wisdom, faith, and life experiences for future generations.

Anyone with a story worth preserving. Many clients are parents, grandparents, veterans, ministry leaders, and individuals who want to leave something meaningful behind.

Yes. You'll receive access to your recordings and can share them with loved ones.
FAQ - Live at GFM
✦ What is Live at GFM?
Live at GFM is an exclusive in-studio performance and live recording session held at GFM Recording Studios in Blue Springs, MO. Each month features a new artist performing for a limited audience of just 15 guests. It's a private, high-end music experience unlike anything else in the Kansas City area.
✦ Is this a concert or a recording session?
It’s both. You’re attending a real live performance and a professional studio recording at the same time. The artist is performing live in front of you while we capture the session through our world-class equipment. You get to witness, and be part of the creation.
✦ How many tickets are available?
Only 15 tickets are available for each event. Seating is extremely limited by design to maintain an intimate atmosphere.
✦ Will drinks be served?
Yes! All guests will receive 2 complimentary beverages. We ask that all guests be 21+ with valid ID.
✦ Can I record or take video during the session?
Yes. We encourage guests to take short clips (15–30 seconds) to share their experience on social media and with friends. This is a live recording session, and we want the artist and your fellow guests to feel fully respected.
✦ How do I buy tickets?
Tickets are available only through our official website. Just scroll up to the “Reserve Your Seat” section. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
✦ Do you offer group rates or private bookings?
Yes. We offer private event buyouts for companies, creative agencies, or small parties. Please contact us directly for details and custom rates.
✦ Can I attend more than once?
Absolutely. Each session features a new artist and a different experience. Many guests return month after month.
Studio Policies & Booking Info
✦ What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less notice will result in loss of your deposit.
✦ Do you offer discounts for multiple sessions or full projects?
