A song, podcast, voiceover, and audiobook all use microphones, headphones, and recording software. That does not make them the same kind of session. An audiobook asks for long-form vocal consistency. The narrator may be recording for several hours at a time, often across multiple days. The microphone position, room tone, vocal level, pacing, and character voices all need to stay steady from the first chapter to the last.
